These days my focus has shifted towards surface design and digital artwork, but the process is still rooted in painting and observation. Many designs begin life as hand-drawn or painted ideas before being developed into repeat patterns for homeware.
Cornwall remains a constant source of inspiration. From walking the beaches and coastal paths with my two cocker spaniels, Colin and Esme, to exploring historic houses and gardens, the landscape here finds its way into almost everything I make. The name Morvoren — Cornish for mermaid — felt like a natural fit. I spent part of my younger years working as a divemaster in Thailand, and the pull of the sea has never really left.
The designs you’ll find here are my own and are printed in the UK in small runs. I’m beginning with tableware and homeware — bone china teapots and cups, shell motifs, coastal florals and Cornwall-inspired patterns — with new collections added as the seasons change.
Each product is carefully developed with UK makers and specialist printers, ensuring the materials and finishes are made to be used and enjoyed every day.
House of Morvoren is about thoughtful, beautifully made pieces that bring a little of the coast indoors.
